MISSA CANTATA for the Feast of ST. CECILIA at the ENGLISH MARTYRS
On Thursday 22nd November the choir sang for a Missa Cantata for the Feast of St. Cecilia. This was organised by the Latin Mass Society. The music included a mixture of chants and polyphonic settings. The processional piece was O Quam Gloriosum by Victoria and the Mass setting was the Mass based on that motet by the same composer. The choir had worked very hard at all the chants which they executed with great finesse. It was a most prayerful and moving occasion and the choir thanks Fr. Marlor, the Parish Priest, for inviting them. Please see http://lmssalford.blogspot.co.uk/ for more details
